Wrong WiFi Password:
Make sure you know your WiFi password.  This is the #1 problem.

Not Fast Blinking:
Sometimes it will blink slowly.  But you must hold down the reset button on the outlet for about 5 seconds until it starts blinking quickly. Only then will you be able to connect through the Smart Life application Add Device feature.

Wrong Order:
You must pair the outlet with the Smart Life smart phone application FIRST, only then can it be connected through the Echo Skill. The Echo Skill ONLY connects to devices which are already connected to the smart phone (or tablet) app first.

Dashes in Phone Number:
Do NOT put dashes in your phone number while setting up the Smart Life app.

Not Connected to WiFi:
Your smart phone MUST be connected to WiFi to setup the Smart Life app.  You must connect your smart phone to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network as the Smart Plug through the Smart Life app.

WiFi Range:
Your Smart Plug and your smart phone must both be in range of your WiFi router.

2.4GHz vs 5GHz WiFi:
M
odern WiFi Routers are “Dual-Band”.  Meaning you probably have two WiFi networks, a 2.4GHz network and a 5GHz network.  Each has a name and a password.  You MUST be sure that both your phone and your Smart Life app are connected to 2.4GHz network.

If after you reach 100%, you get a message that says “Failed to add”, you might need to disconnect your smart phone from WiFi and connect to your other WiFi network.  This is done through your smart phone WiFi connection settings.

Wrong WiFi:
The device and the phone can NOT be connected to two different networks. Make sure the names of the networks are both the same on smart phone WiFi connection and Smart Life app.

How to Change the Device Name:
